Finally did it!!!

So for the longest time I have wanted to cut the hair...I always say I'm going to do it and than always walk out of the salon with maybe a inch less of hair. So needless to say I never have the gusts to go through with it until now!!! It has been long for years and I just finally was ready for the change. So I did, sat in the chair and said cut!!! cut about 5in. and added a few highlights. And I can finally wear it curly again too. Before it was just way to heavy... so it's fun to have the option to change it up from straight to curly...kind of makes me feel 16 again:) if only! The best part is, Ryan lost my drivers license and I have to get a new one so now I can have a picture that will actually look like me again because my last one had me with really short hair.

Ten years and counting!!!

I remember like it was ten years ago:) Not being able to sleep and finally feeling like it was OK to get out of bed and start getting ready for the day that would change my life forever. I married the man that would be by my side for better and worse, in sickness and health, and I know we have been through a lot over these past ten years but here we are side by side cherishing every moment. In ten years I just can't believe all that we have done together...three beautiful healthy children, finishing school and having a great career, several moves but ending up right where we should be, the many vacation and being able to see the world but most important we our an eternal family and have the gospel to continue to guide us where ever that my be. Being married for time and all eternity just means so much more now that we have a family of our own. So here is to another amazing ten plus years. Love you with all my heart! Happy 10 year Anniversary.

4th of July fun.

So to celebrate the holiday some friends invited us to go to the Oakley rodeo and then stay in park city for a couple days. The rodeo was pretty fun and for the most part the kids were enjoying it. They liked the bull riding the most...who doesn't like that part? After their was fireworks and than we drove to park city to stay. The place was up in the canyons resorts and it was probably one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. We definitely will be going back. We went swimming, rode the gondola up to the top of the mountain and had lunch but mostly played games, watched movies and just played all weekend long. The Galli's were a lot of fun to hang out with. So thanks for the invite:)

On Saturday we drove back down from Park City and went to the Sandy parade and fireworks. We really had a fun weekend. And it was nice that Ryan had a few days off to hang out with us. Ryan will be starting a new job in a few weeks that we are really excited about. So until than he has some time off so we plan to fill it up with fun things to do as a family. Gotta love summer:)

She made it:)

So Mckaela tried out for this dance competiton team this week and made it. There were 43 girls trying out for two teams of 12. She has a couple friends from the neighborhood that were on it last year and had so much fun and really wanted her to be a part of the team. We are so excited for her and so proud that she has stuck with dance for the past 5 years and still loves every minute of it. Congrats baby girl. we love you

Vegas

I know everyone is thinking that we travel a lot and I guess it does seem that way but it's just so nice to get away, have something to look forward too and to have some fun as a family.
Our latest adventure was to Vegas for the weekend. We left late Thursday and came home late Sunday night. We mostly just went swimming...that's all the kids wanted to do and this was there weekend. We did visit the M&M factory of course and also went to dinner with one of Ryan's aunts that just moved there, so that was a lot of fun hanging out with her and her little boy. Over all it was a great little trip. Where to go next???

Finally here are some pic from the cruise we went on last month. We really had such a great time. My parents, brother, his girlfriend and some close friends the Fishers all came and shared this great time with us. We went to Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vartia. Saw a lot and did a lot. Her are some pics of the fun week:)

Between baseball games, a dance performance, chicken pox scare and a field trip to the zoo. We had a busy week last week and another one ahead this week but a fun weekend to look forward to. It's kind of nice though that the kids only have a few more weeks of school and then have a little break to have some fun. We have a few little trips planned over the next few months to look forward to also to help break up the summer for us. A trip to Bear Lake, camp out at Lava Hot Springs and a get away to Vegas. We will be set for some fun in the sun:)

Mckaela had a performance at the Riverton arts festival on Saturday and she did so well. This next year we are signing her up for a competition team with a few of here new friends in the neighborhood and she is so excited.
So we thought Mckaela had the chicken pox last week too. She woke up one morning with the worst rash I had ever seen. (I took pics but they got erased from the camera..so mad) All over her body...and I mean ALL over. It looked so bad!!! She was so itchy and so of course I think its chicken pox. None of them have gotten them before so I had no idea what they looked like. We took her in to the doctors and the week before she had strep and was taking something for it and now all of a sudden she was having a reaction to the medicine. Now we know she can't have that again because it could be so much worse next time. It took about 3 days for it to go away. She was good though considering have all these red bumps all over. I let her miss one day of school:) (You can kind of see it on her arms in these pics)

One of her new BFF''s McCall came out to support her. (Seriously these two are joined at the hip.)
Brendan had his Kindergarten field trip at the zoo and I got to go and help keep track of the kids. It was actually a lot of fun just to go and hang out with B. We don't get a lot of just us time and I really treasure the time when it can just be the two of us. I also can't believe that he is almost done with Kindergarten and soon to be a big 1st grade. That is just crazy to me!!!

We found four extra monkeys in here:)
Watching the bird show...it was pretty cool!

Our little group.
He was getting it all figured out where to go next.:)

Brendan only has one more baseball game...thank goodness because it is a struggle to get him to go. He just has not liked it from day one. This game he got to be the catcher and I think he was ready to walk off the field, he was so hot and sweaty that he would keep itching his head and not watch the ball. But you couldn't tell from the big smile he has on his face. He was trying to look good for grandpa:)

So I have gotten the craft bug and just want to make and learn new things all the time. Here is the latest. I have always made the girls hair bows but these one's are a little different and I just love how they turned out. (9 hours and ten bows later)

What's been going on around here.

Mother's day was so nice. I got breakfast in bed, lots of wonderful homemade cards from the kids, clothes for the cruise and even a new shower head for my much needed shower. I love it!!! My family really made it feel like such a special day, I also didn't have to teach my primary lesson and was able to go to relief society. It's funny...when you are going you wish you had somewhere else to be but know that I never get to go I loved being there with all the other ladies.
I really do love being a mom. Yes I get frustrated, I may yell and seem like a mean mom at times...but I wouldn't trade these hard days for anything because in between these moments are some of the greatest ones I will always remember. The hugs and kisses, the talk times, the smiles and laughter of pure joy and just being together...Forever!

On Friday I got to go to school with Brendan for a little Mother's day program and then we got to have school lunch together...it will get him ready for school lunch when he starts 1st grade. Now that is crazy!

Then on Saturday Mckaela had her first little piano recital at the South town mall. She got to do a duet with her daddy. It was pretty neat to see them play together and she really is getting good. She keeps it up she will play as good as her dad.

and on to baseball....well we thought it would be fun for him to try it again but that was our mistake. Brendan hates it and never wants to go to the games. He has lucked out a lot since we have had so much rain all the games have been canceled except for a few. Guess we will move on to another sport after this. He does look cute out there in his little uniform though:)

We also had family in town so we did our annual family pics at the Provo temple. This one is bad so hopefully grandpa will have a better one. I will post more when I get them.
I had to add this one because these kids are just too cute. Look at the pose Addison is doing.
