Birthday Boy

Brendan was so excited this morning that he tried to wake us up at TWO am to open presents...I sent him right back to bed! Than he was back down at 6:30 and we couldn't make him wait any longer. This is a sign of how early he will be up for Christmas!
I can't believe he is 7!!! Happy Birthday buddy! We sure love you!
He finally got his ripstik! We decorated his room with streamers, balloons and signs all over the house...he got a kick out of all that just because it was all for him! Made him his special breakfast and off to school he went. I'm also going to surprise him and take him to lunch:) Hope he will have a fun day!

Halloween

The week of Halloween marked our one year living in the neighborhood and we have loved every minute of it. We have truly met some wonderful people, made some great friends and made some lasting memories.
Addison as Minnie Mouse
G.I Joe
Mad hatter

How long have I live in West/South Jordan? 8 years and this was the first year I have gone to witches night out at Garden Village! Five of us got all dressed up and headed over for a night of laughs, shopping and waiting FOREVER for some yummy food. It was a fun girls night out. So thanks ladies for showing me what I have been missing!

So the kids had crazy hair day in school! They loved having bright red hair! Just wasn't fun getting it out of the hair and their clothes. They are also off track for the next three weeks and I'm actually looking forward to hanging out and doing lots of fun things for Halloween!

I have to add these few pictures of Addison. Since it's just her and I all day...let's just say there is never a dull moment around here! I say that with a big smile on my face:) Because like right now she is in a time out for writing with PEN on our TAN couch. AHHHHHHHHH.
But look at that adorable smile...How can you really stay mad!

We took a little mommy and me art class. She loved it!
What an artist!
Yes she is the best dressed child in our house according to her. Brendan's shorts, Mckaela's underwear and Addison sun glasses. What a match! The tucking of the shirt in the underwear was an added touch by mom:)
This is what I say when I looked in the rear view mirror one afternoon! Yes I laughed so hard and she started to cry and said I was mean! I can NEVER leave her alone with a pen. It ends up everywhere else but paper! But I sure do love this little ball of energy! Never know what kind of a day it is going to be:) Now how do I get pen out of a couch???

Catching up!

Just trying to catch up a little bit here!
We went to the state fair with Ryan's family, we actually go every year with all of them. It's something we look forward to every year. The kids of course just want to play games and ride rides and I LOVE to people watch so it's the best of both worlds at the fair:)

Mckaela had her first piano recital and did such a great job. She played three songs and two of them she got to play with dad. We are so proud of how well she is picking it up and that she actually likes to practice and play.

Brendan is playing soccer for the first time and so far has loved it! I'm so happy that he might have found a sport he will want to stick with, guess it's still early but he is having fun.

GNO:)
We had a much needed girls night out on Saturday. Seven of us got tickets to this GNO party that was down in Lehi. So we got in our jammies and headed down. They had everything you could think of that women would love to do. We had to pay $35 and it included...a massage...that's a whole other story, (let's just say I ended up with the creepy guy in a tee pee), dinner from Costa Vida, make-overs, waxing, chocolate sampling, laser hair removal...(yep I am so excited for this one)yoga, and shopping. It was a night filled with yummy food, lots of laughs and great friends!

My baby girl is 3...THREE! It's just crazy that this little girl is our baby and will always be the baby of the family and yet she is growing up to way to fast. She had a very busy birthday. Started out with a little friend party, wasn't going to have one since three is a little young to be planning parties but I decided to rent a princess bounce house for the family party because now their are finally enough cousins to enjoy it but we got to have the bounce house all day so I thought why not get full use out of it. Addison had 6 little friends over to play, made little princess crowns, lots of jumping, played dress up and than had cupcakes. Over all I think it was a fun little party. Than the family came for a BBQ and continued the celebration into the night. Needless to say this little baby girl of ours was very spoiled and enjoyed every minute of it.

We gave her this little set. It came with a guitar, microphone with a stand and than plays music. She is our little rock star so she has been playing with this 24/7.

Her cupcake tower.

Addison's friends.

We sure love you baby girl!
Now on to potty training and she is just soooo not interested! What do I do???

Weekend get away and first day of school.

So we had a Bear lake trip planned with the Fishers but the boat we were getting broke down so we had to come up with some else to do for the weekend because we just couldn't sit home and do nothing and Ryan had the time off work so we decided to head to Seven peaks for the day on Friday and then up to Park city for the rest of the time. It was a great weekend and the last little get away before the kids started school that following Monday. Seven Peaks...let's just say I have three kids that are not very daring so we ended up in the wave pool, lazy river or the kiddie area most of the day, I think we went down maybe two slides and that was all they would do but we still had fun just hanging out. After a long day in the heat we drove up to park city to stay in now our favorite resort in the cannons, Escala! It's seriously one of the nicest places and so fun to hang out in. It's awesome! Thanks Gallis for introducing it to us:) One day we went and did the Alpine slide, which I was surprised my kids did it at all...you will notice in one of the pics that Mckaela went down by herself and she had a long line of unhappy people behind her because she was going sooooo slow. It was pretty funny! we did lots of swimming and went to a movie one night. It really turned out to be a fun weekend even though it started out not as we had planned.

Now on to the first day of school.
Brendan loves it and everyday gets really excited to go. I thought it would be hard on him because it is a long day but I swear he gets home and has more energy than before. That first day he was up bright and early...like 5am early, not really but it sure seemed like it. He has an awesome teacher so I'm really excited for him this year.

Addison wanted to pretend she too was going to school and had to have her picture taken. It's now just her and I all day and I have loved every minute of it. We go to play dates, lunch, play at the park or anything we can think of to just get out and have some fun together. She is my little buddy now...yes she is exhausting at "most" times but she just is so full of life that it makes the days very exciting.
We went to get ice cream with some friends and there was a water park that they ended up instead but look at those smiles on their faces. They were having so much fun!

Now on to Mckaela...
what a rough couple of days it was for her. She was supper excited that first day of school and even came home thinking it was fun. But that lasted a min. because day two and three was a nightmare. She called me the second day crying to come and get her because she wasn't feeling good.(She tends to play that card a lot so I don't buy it anymore)I made her stay. But that phone call was just horrible...she was crying so much because her teacher was being mean, made her miss recess for something so stupid, couldn't use the bathroom and just made day two very hard. So that night she woke up in tears not wanting to go and than in the morning was seriously scared to go back. It was really hard for me to watch her get so upset about this teacher and I was sick about it all day so worried that she was having the hardest time. I ended up calling the teacher and asking her what the deal was? We had a good talk and things have gotten a lot better. Keep my fingers crossed. Mckaela is such a good student and very bright so I didn't want this one teacher to change that for her. Will see how it goes!

Lava

Last month we went to Lava Hot springs with two other families and it was so much fun. Who knew Lava would be a cool place to hang out? We have an annual camping trip with this same group of friends every year. We each take turns picking out different spots and Bevans pick it this year and I must say...good choice! The kids had so much fun running the river, a little scared at times because there actually were a few rapids which added to the excitement but also caused a few cuts, bruises and a broken toe:) But over all well worth it! Then we went to the big swimming pool they have that was right by our camp site. We really look forward to these little camping trips all year but mostly just to be able to hang out till all hours in the night talking, laughing and catching up. I think it's our turn to choose for next year so I guess we need to start looking for some fun spots!
Yes that is Addison naked coming out of the tent:)
The best part about camping...SMORES:)

That's Mike for ya:) The Fishers

Mckaela jumping off the diving board and plugging her nose...she's is just like me:)
