Up dated!!!

Wow! I just caught up on like the past 5months! I don't know if people even look at this anymore but here it is for the two that do:)

Pinewood Derby

Who knew that the pinewood derby was such a big deal to these boys??? Now that I am in scouts (that's a whole nother story)I get what all the fuss is about and Brendan was soooo excited to be able to build his car and race it. It took a while for him and Ryan to finally put it together but they did a great job on it.

Starting the car.
putting the pieces together.
All the different cars! The boys really did a great job on them. (Brendan's is the 3rd car form the left.)

He was very proud of his car.

Putting the car on the track.
waiting...
this race he took 1st:)
he didn't win a trophy but he was still happy with how his car did!

Valentines

I really don't go all out for Valentines but I do want the day to be fun for the kids but this year they acted like it was going to be Christmas. They woke up a couple times during the night and was just so excited to see what we had gotten them! So glad that a Jumba juice gift card, new shirt and some treats can get them that excited!

Daddy went and got our favorite doughnuts...Dunfords...and they were shaped as hearts:)
They had to make their own V-boxes and Mckaela was so proud of how hers turned out...she says she will use it every year:)

Thought Mckaela would be to big to having matching shirt with her sister but she thought it was pretty cute:)
Valentines night Ryan's parents took the kids so we could go out and they had their own little party with heart shaped pizza and sparkling cider, decorating cookies and a movie. They had a fun night! I will post pics when I get them.

Jan 14th A big Day

Ryan's sister Kellie got married and it was just a beautiful day and wedding. (They got engaged in Disneyland when we went in November)
The happy couple...Joe and Kellie Hubbard

Mckaela caught the kids bouquet. She was super excited:)

The wedding colors were: Navy blue, silver and slate blue... not the easiest to find!!!

January

For Ryan's birthday the two of us headed to Las Vegas for the weekend. We stayed at the Palazzo, which was super nice, did some shopping, lots of eating and went to see David Spade.(we wanted to see a show but not pay an arm and a leg for) I was a little worried that he might be a little vulgar and use the F word a lot but he was actually super funny, pretty clean and I don't think he use the F bomb once.
Sometimes these little get-a-ways are just needed and we really had so much fun just hanging out and being together:)
So we get to the room and this was there waiting for me...it's not my birthday and I get flowers? So sweet!

New Years Eve

Took the kids ice skating at Galvan center. It was really fun being outside and they loved it!

We wanted to do something fun for New Years and so we loaded up the car and headed to St George to ring it in. We had fun swimming, eating and playing games with just us.
Happy New Year!!!

Drove up to the top of this hill where we could look down and see the temple and than of course we had to try and embarrass the kid and make the moment all cheesy:)
